So I just moved up to New Boston TX (just west of Texarkana) and I've been looking into doing some trout fishing with my dad a little after Christmas. Most people talk about going up to the White, Little Red, or some of the other places at the top of the state. I was wondering how yalls experiences have been in south and maybe central AR (keeping not to far from Hot Springs). I would like to keep my fishing trips to a day trip, so what would yall advise on places to try? Thanks for any help you can give.

There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace.

For trout, check out the Little Missouri River below the Greeson Lake Dam down to Crater of Diamonds SP. You also have Millwood Lake in your backyard. Don't know about trout, but it has plenty of bass and crappie! Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I do appreciate the advice. I had wanted to check out Crater of Diamons SP anyhow so that would be perfect. Thanks again!
