I guess I have had my fair share- I could mention some crazy private lake days or great days on Fork or battling giants on beds at Fork or other lakes, or perhaps a big bass tourney, but honestly my most memorable day was the last day I fished with my Dad- Sam Rayburn 1986- he caught 5 and I caught only one in about 2 hours- worm fishing- grape worms- it was a perfect day.

Falcon from September 15, 2013. Over 42 pounds. All were released healthy. Caught at least 15 more over 7 pounds... All in an hour and a half window.

I fished with my Dad and my Grandfather many years ago on a really cold day. My Grand Dad built a great big fire that we sat around and talked about life in general. Did not catch many but really had great time with my Grandfather. He passed away the next month. The last time I saw him or talked with him was on that trip so it goes down as one of my best days of fishing.

Had a ton of great days at Falcon but my best was one of the few times I fished down there by myself. It was blazing hot with very little wind and I sat on an isolated hump in Mexico for hours. I don't know exactly how many I caught but I had 2 9s, and a bunch of 7 and 8s. I stopped weighing anything under 8 and stopped netting period after a while. Nothing over 9 and no dinks. What a day. My only regret is I was by myself.

And the thing about that hump was it produced everytime I hit it for months afterwards.

Fishing with Dad thanksgiving week of 2012 on Lake O The Pines. Caught 60-70 bass on a spoon off a couple of points. Biggest fish went nearly 7, other than that only 1-2 pounds. It was the numbers that were so great. Plus had a good time with Dad.

I would have to say on Cypress Springs, fished with my step dad and best 5 were close to 30lbs, caught 3 in the 5-6 range and he boated one that was pushing 8. Dead heat of the summer too, gotta love jig fishing.

That's a tough question to answer if you have been fishing over 50 years like I have. My best days of fishing were not necessarily the days that I caught my biggest fish or the most fish but the quality time I spent with friends out on the water.
