I use the Super Duty but all of them will work the MG is a good one my favorite Lews reel is the Tournament Pro

I use the Speed Spool "100.00" reel. This thing works great when I flip/pitch! I hooked a few without a problem. Good luck!

bb1.. I stripped gears out of 2 tournament pro's punching grass

I like the Super Duty for flippin/pitchin. I use the tourney pro for about everything else but I like the heavy brass gears for my flipping reels. The Tourney MG also has the brass gears if you are looking to spend a little less.
Some folks say that fishin on a Sunday is a sin, but if a fish bites my line, you know I'm gonna reel him on in!

Been wondering this myself. I've been eyeing the bb1 pro as well as the super duty but I can't choose! I'll be checking in on the thread to see what people think

ya most of the reviews on super duty all say frogging for punching. i just need the best reel that has a smooth spool for flipping...

I like the super duty 7:1 you don't have to put a backing on for braid!

bought 2 of each to test this out. bb1 flips 10 ft further no problem. not even on the same level. super duty is a great reel and has better breaks if you're needing that for flipping but casting and flip distance both go to bb1. the quality / weight / size go to the super duty. its easier in the hand but i will be selling both super dutys to replace with bb1. if lews won't take them back i will sell on here for a good deal.
