95% of the time. I don't like waiting on people when I tell them to be ready at a certain time.

I do fish alone most of the time. But I have been bank fishing and fishing out of a '12 jon boat for the last several years. And even that is dangerous. I recently bought a real bass boat, so people want to go, but once the new wears off I'm sure I will go alone alot more. I know some people think its crazy, but I enjoy it.

If you don't have a ladder on your boat, get one.

Do you all use a permanent mounted one or rope or the extending kind off of the transom?

I fish alone most of the time. I'm 48, so I guess I'm still kinda young. I still seem to launch and load ok. But I've fished alone for so long maybe I don't know. Actually if someone goes with me I'm happy if they let me prep the boat alone. If they can back a trail and get me in without jackknifing the trailer that's a bonus..

Another point that needs to be remembered by everyone.

Should you end up in the water, especially cold water where you might not be able to move as well, you can swim to your motor and basically straddle it like a horse (kinda sit on the prop). Reach around and tilt the motor all the way up. This will allow you to lean up over the cowling and plop into the boat. This is assuming you have a motor with a tilt/trim button on it.

Lee,
I'd recommend looking into getting the permanent, steel ladder so you never have to worry about it again.

Do you have an auto inflatable pfd?

i have fished alone quiet a few times. the thing i don't like about fishing solo is that you don't have a buddy to make sure you prep the boat right. IE putting the boat plug in lol. i almost sunk my boat i really thought it was going under but i saved it at the last minute.

I fish alone a lot and I am pretty good at launching the boat by myself. I mostly fish during the week and the boat ramps are always vacant, so I don't have to worry about making anyone wait on me.

Don't I know that. I have fished alone almost all of my adult life. I have been good until recently, and at that point I had my share of accidents. Tip, If you hear someone yelling for help on the bank, please inquire... I cracked a rib after falling off a six foot embankment, and when I finally got back up to the top, realized there was a family a few yards from me that didn't flinch.

I love to fish alone but when weather is bad I prefer someone with me.

75% of the time I do, my schedule doesn't jibe with most people's schedules.

I actually enjoy the freedom of being able to run here or there and try something and I am not feeling it then just strap everything down and go somewhere else.

I often wear some wireless earbuds and and listen to music. Often another angler comes along and I do not hear them, I get some weird looks when they are talking to me and they think I am ignoring them, lol!

But it is enjoyable to have company on the water as well...
