I saw an old timer put in the other day, and he unhooked his boat and tied a rope between his truck and boat while it was still on the trailer. He backed the boat in and bumped it off the trailer with his brakes, and then just pulled his truck forward pulling the boat back up to the ramp...this solved the climbing onto the trailer part, but could be a little rough on the boat (his was aluminum)

I do quite often. I don't have to accommodate anyone but myself that way.

I like to fish alone in good weather, not so much when it is real cold.

However having a partner when launching and recovering is the bomb!

I'm a senior fisher, and I'm pretty snappy about launching and loading the boat by myself. The trick, for me, is to use the right type of tow vehicle. Mine is a 4x4 GMC Envoy. The rear hatch/door flips up, and I simply go out the back, walk on the trailer main rails to the boat, jump in/back it up/tie it to the dock. I reverse the procedure for loading, and I never get wet.
I wear my PFD almost all the time, certainly ALL the critical time.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I fish alone, and I prefer the ramps with floating docks in the middle (like the State Park Ramps on Ray Roberts) - Makes it a lot easier, into the water and quick tie-off then easy boarding and exiting.

That sounds like a good launch and recovery.
Since they put a new launch in Eagle Mountain Lake its nice BUT< sure is a longggggggg walk around to the boat and back to the parking lot. A longgggggg walk. Someone didn't think much on that part...

I have never minded fishing alone, I can focus more I think. I do wear my life jacket when fishing alone.

I fish alone unless grandpa wants to go...or sometimes the wifey. I like her to go because for some reason she catches fish all the time...beginners luck .

I don't mind it either and I seemed to do decent in the individual tournaments I've fished. It's good not to have to cater to people sometimes. No holes barred...

I think it's good to mix it up though. That is if you're people-person..

Sometimes alone is ok but, it's almost always more fun when have a friend to share the good and bad luck with, talk with.....just enjoy the fishing
Certainly helps loading and unloading but, that's not what the idea of fishing with someone is about..
