According to today's mail (which may have been sitting a ditch for the past week, so I don't know when the sale actually started), Bass Pro has some TFO Pro rods on sale for $79. This a good deal if you're looking for new rod for Christmas. These are 4 pc 9 ft rods and they've listed that they have 5, 6, and 8 wt's on sale.

I like the Pros a lot. Still have 3,7,8,and 10 weights. I gave away the 2 and the other 3 weight Pros. Sometimes I wonder why I have any other rods.

FYI I stopped by BP this week to check these out. It's not the normally $149 (matte black) pro rods that are on sale. The $89 special model is a burgundy red, no guide dots, look like a "special" model just for BP. Felt a little faster action than the original "Pro" also.
Still a decent deal, just an FYI. J.

TFO has done some special rod builds for BPS before. That does explain the ad's wording, it called the rod a "Special Pro". However, I would not be surprised if this is the same blank as the regular Pro series rod, just painted a different color and some hardware differences.
