They say >60 but I've caught em including 2 10+ in 65-68 degree! But I think it excels in >60 degree temps!

Jerkbaits can be good year round, especially when it get's really cold and nasty. 45 degree to 52 degree water for suspending, and then after that you can throw non-suspending baits. Cadence, water clarity, and wind are all key factors to consider.

I assume you're talking about a suspending jerkbait for cold water. I start throwing a Eeratic Shad jerkbait when I'm seeing less than 55 degrees. But there are no hard and fast rules.

Right now. Had a decent day yesterday with a jerk bait. I think water temp wa 46.

Right now. Had a decent day yesterday with a jerk bait. I think water temp wa 46. Same here. Caught my only Fish on them. 2 massive 1/2 pound Bass on a Pointer.  Water temp 52F

I've been throwing a pointer 78 lately with decent results. Anytime its sub 55 I'll keep it tied on, but wouldn't be afraid to use it in warmer weather either.
I think it just comes down to cadence and action at that point. Longer pauses when its colder, quicker and more erratic when its warmer.

I have one pet bait that suspends perfectly and I will throw it out, sweep it down as deep as I can get it (about 5' or so) then let it sit for as much as 30 seconds between twitches when the water is very cold, below 50. When they bite it they just start swimming off with it in their face!

This ain't Kens first rodeo......this is the time of year that I dont mind being called a "jerk" cause that's all I think about, one of the funnest ways to catch 'em IMO. I've caught 'em in water less than 40 and as high as 65.

If you fish a semi clear water reservoir like fork and you don't keep a jerkbait tied on all year long your missing a fantastic big fish pattern. I have one tied on literally 365 days a year on lakes with more than 1' of visibility. Yes just 1'. Reaction strikes are all I fish for. Even in wintertime.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Year round for me. In summer, I prefer a floating bait and keep it moving, waking the surface. Cooler water its suspending with a good pause after you sweep it down as far as it will dive. After I get it down to its maximum depth its subtle twitches back to the boat.

I posted about this earlier. From the info I got it's about finding the right retrieve in different water temps. The colder the longer the pause. I also was told that it's a year around bait.
