Ok, I've heard cats bite good down here in the winter.... I'm game for trying something new. Any advice on where to go and what to use on GV or lewisville?

Thanks!

Shad or buffalo for bait. I've heard of many things that work but those are what work for me. Santee cooper rig or three way rig. I'd use 8/0+ hooks. Drift or anchor the fish like both.

Same here, I usually just bass fish but would like to learn how to get some cats when its cold. Ive heard you can use chicken breast soaked in cherry kool aid , instead of have to catch bait, but never tried. Maybe there will be an open invite at the lew or vine here soon. If so, I plan on trying to make it.

Where is a good place to get some buffalo in the Keller or Grapevine area?

Fish eat things. I'll put things in the water that fish like to eat. I'll attach these things to a hook, line, rod, and reel. How hard can this be?

I caught 40 Buffs last week 23"-30" at GV. Not sure what this weather did to them but I may get a chance to go again soon.
