I heard that when there is a good cold front(like now) the crappie migrate shallower and to brush piles. Is this true? And is there any one who goes to Goodies Marina on Tawakoni? Shouldn't it have some?

The slips at Pier121 do best in the winter months.

Depends on the water temp. If the temp stays mid 50s, they may be no more than 18-25ft deep. If temp is 53 or less, I'd be lookin deep, 25ft+. Don't know what river or creeks are feeding Corpus Christi, but you might do better with the kayak fishing deeper holes in the creeks. Not as much water to cover and easier for you to fish. Shad will run up the creeks and crappie follow.

Thanks for the pointer Ken! I live close to a creek that goes into the lake but it only runs about 9-10FT at the mouth and gets shallow going further back. Would i be wasting my time trying that creek?
