Air down your tires, keep a bucket to haul water in to wet down sand and a small shovel. Some guys carry strips of plywood to jam under their tires to get moving.
Stay in established tire tracks, don't sto, and carry a cell phone and a jerk strap.

I had a 4x4 Escalade, and I traveled the 10 miles plus. I see people getting stuck all the time. Just stay out of the big ruts. If you go on a low tide, you can stay near the water. But remember when you get down the beach and the tide comes in, you probably are staying the night.

Megladon, was the Cadillac that passed you black? If so, that was probably me. I used to drive all through the dunes back to the bays to fish.

I see those older subarus do it all the time and the small wagon suvs. If its been driven through alot it's packed down. Only time you have problems is when somebody has 35's or 37's and decide to mess it up.

Don't remember the color, and was not an SUV. Was a Seville or something like that. You don't need a 4x4 just need a Cadillac lol.

Like said above, air down tires to 15-20 psi, if your tires start spinning and you lose momentum DO NOT keep spinning trying to get out, just stop and take whatever method you have to get unstuck. It's a lot easier than it sounds, chances are you will go in and out without a hiccup, it's when you get too confident that you get stuck.
