I stop in there many evenings on my daily walk/jog. See a few crappie getting caught, hear about a few big blue cats, but that's about it.

was there wednesday night/early Thursday morning 1 guy caught 5 keepers outside we started catching them around 6:30 am in the front of the wells

My dad was telling me that there used to be a fishing barge on Lavon back in the 70's. Wish they still had one now would be nice to fish inside with this weather, looks nice.

Went to the Barge on Wednesday before Thanksgiving around 8pm. Saw a few people catching some Crappie in the wells. My daughter wanted to join so I took her along. There were about 10 other people fishing. My daughter hooked into a LMB fishing a minnow and began fighting the fish. The ten or so people began cheering her on and one even lipped the fish for her as I was helping her hold onto her pole. Thank you to the gentlemen who helped her land the fish. This made my 5 year old daughters night and goes to show why the friendly environment at the barge is second to none. [img:center]  [/img]
