I'm going to Toledo bend next month for the first time. Can anybody help me on what winter patterns work best and any areas that would be worth fishing. Not looking for anybody's secret spots just some general area's and info. Thanks for any help. I will be fishing on the south end.

It changes from day to day. It's hard to say what they will be biting on next week let alone next month. Best bet would be to try the creek drains into the coves fishing jigs, Carolina rigs, traps, and maybe some jerk baits. It all depends on the weather leading up to when you go will dictate how you should fish.

We was there not to long ago and they were biting Tx. rigged red bug trick worms. Our most productive spots were Tennessee Bay, and White oak in the mouth of housen.

Take some red traps and gold traps with you. A little early yet but you might be able to find some on it.

Joe Joslin puts out a very good fishing report on Toledo Bend every week. He fishes the south end. Might give you some ideas.
