Old and Lost are brackish; they connect to Trinity Bay. The adjacent Trinity River is fresh because there is a salt water barrier downstream of Wallisville.

Been there a few times. Brackish mainly. There are quite a few catfish. I have also caught a number of good redfish back there. If your into bow fishing, I have seen some nice gar back there too.

catfish is good. Not into bow fishing, not that coordinated. Looking for some big carp of Buffalo in that area. I guess I will have to try the Trinity river. Thanks for the info, Gentleman!!!

I think all the big bass are up in the Arlington area. Mostly saltwater fishing down here. I can't wait to move further north.

If you are looking for Carp, gar or buffalo, there is a good oxbow between Old and Lost and Trinity. You will see where everyone has been parking. Lake Houston is not that far away as well as Lake Anahuac. The pump station in Anahuac can be good at times as well as Cedar Bayou in Baytown.
