Good Morning ladies and gentlemen,
I am new to the board and Texas. I love to fish crappie and live in the Southern Arlington / Mansfield area.
Sure would like to have me a crappie dinner this weekend if you know where I can catch some. Will post or message results as I always share in the bounty.

 to the forum ! If you are a bank fisherman there are two creeks that are about to start producing on JP lake as the water temps drop. Walnut Creek in Loyd Park & Mountain Creek in Britton Park of fm 661.Loyd Park has a fee but you can get in there without a fee if you launch from Lynn Creek marina or a Kayak from Arlington Webb rd off Grand Peninsula where it dead ends into the lake accross from Loyd Park.At fm 661 you can park on side of the road and just walk down. The vehicles on the side of the road will tell you the story.Go get you some!

Welcome to TFF. I am in Burleson area, and fished Lake Arlington twice, but would like to learn it more. Mostly fish Benbrook, sometimes Joe Pool (last year). If ever interested some weekend, pm me, we can meet up and jig some slabs. I'm going out in the morning. Been itching for a thump. It's been way too long, and my freezer is mighty bare!

Thanks for the replies.
What is the preferred method here? Jigs, minnow, or small cranks. If minnow, where is a good bait shop. I prefer mom and pop over big box. I am ready and would like to get out tomorrow afternoon after the water warms a degree or two. I will be bank fishing at least until spring and might get me a small boat then.
