Liking this knot a lot--very versatile, can be used as a loop knot, and can use the single line tag end to run through top of eye for drop shot. It is a pain to tie with anything less than 10lb test (especially in the wind) It reportedly has more shock (sudden load) strength than palomar.

Example of three turn double unit (the larger the diameter of the line, the less turns you need to do, but if you can do 7-12, there will be more protection to the main line

Example of shaky hands doing a five turn doubled uni

Good knot. I recently switched from fluoro on my spinning reel to braid to avoid line twists and i used the double uni-knot to put an 8 lb fluoro leader on. worked just fine for me.
