I have done well off of county road 3504 from boat ramp to the spillway and also west side of the dam.

I have done well off of county road 3504 from boat ramp to the spillway and also west side of the dam. What were you fishing for and catching? I went last Saturday and didn't have much luck at the boat ramp

Went out to Palestine last week for some catfish ... not even a bite. I'm open to catching anything... I went to a pond by my house on the way home and caught a nice 4lb channel before I decided to call it a day. Any tips or recommendations?

Have been doing very well for numbers and pretty decent size on blues form our dock mid-lake on cut bait for the last 3 weeks. We are close to deep water and I have usually had 3 lines out deep and two shallow. Some days they are deep and some days they are shallow. Biggest fish have come on nasty, cold windy days with the wind blowing right in to shore. Only place I can think of that would be open to public close to deep water would be at the spillway. I would think it could be very good there with a good north wind.

Very nice, I keep telling myself I need to get a cast net. I am sure cut shad does much better then punch bait.
