What's the best application for a 7ft heavy extra fast BPS Carbonlite paired with a BPS Carbonlite 7.1:1?

Well, IMO, the rod locker of your buddies boat, that way when he askes you to go fishing you have a rod to use.

Just kidding, being a heavy I would use it for pichin timber or grass. The higher speed real helps to bring the fish out of the cover.

I wish I had a buddy with a bass boat. What about hard baits with this setup?

During winter I really only throw Crankbaits. It feels a bit off using it for Crankbaits though

If you had a buddy with a boat that would be nice setup to flip docks with.

this is what I was thinking. I guess this would be a good of time as any to practice the jig. I have zero confidence in it. I have caught one of my biggest fish with a jig in winter. Thanks guys

Thanks guys It's getting to the time of a year a jig can be the best tool in the box. Especially on a lake like Fork where there is creek channels and timber.

BPS Carbonlites are great rods. This one would be a great rod to jig with. I think you'll find it very sensitive and sturdy to boot.
