I posted this earlier but it went to the hybride,stripper section. I will try again to get it on the crappie section.
I have been reading a lot lately that tells me that some of the crappie fishermen don't eat the yellow bass. if the yellow bass is the same as the bar fish found in the Sabine River and T-Bend, it is great eating. It is a small, mild flavored white meated fish that some people prefer over crappie

Someone told me the same thing the other day. We don't have them here on Cypress, but those pesky spotted bass are mighty tasty rolfmao fish food

When I bass fished, I would never eat them. Now that I exclusively crappie fish, I will eat them all day long. What was I thinking? They may just be a ditch pickle, but i like the taste of pickles!

Many people do not like yellow bass simply because it does not has much meat to filet, hard to clean, not many know how to eat and enjoy whole fish. Smile
