My 9 yr old son Peyton and I went to pick the boat up from the shop just to find out there was another technical difficulty. Called my buddy Phil who I knew was already hitched up and away we went. .
Like a lot of the reports already state. The deadstick bite is heating up. We pulled off of deadsticks and went in search of some bigger fish on swim baits. Peyton put it on both of us. He not only caught the most. But he boated the biggest as well. Our total fish count was right around 30. The biggest ones came while slow rolling big sassies. The fish would follow it up and pound it at the boat. Like always. The biggest ones never made it over the rail but we had some mid-teen fish blow up and give us a good splash. Its a great time to be on the water. Some prefer freezing in a tree. I prefer freezing on that H20.
At this time I'm not intelligent enough to get a pic up but im working on it.
