Hope it is not another 10 days. Yesterday it was just miserable every time I went outside. I may give it a go tomorrow if the wind is low.
Trouble is that it will be a high blue sky and post cold front. Those conditions have given me problems in the past. I have been a fisherman all my life and I am still learning. Wednesday may just be an educational day.
It will be a good day to deadstick in deep water.

I watched the TV show of the guy who went hybrid fishing on Lake Lewisville a couple weekends ago. Interesting how he just went out and caught big hybrids. I know where he was and what he used. Any bets that I can go out and do the same thing without that TV majic?

I know of several people who have tried with not much luck. Barry Stokes is very good or just lucky that day. Or maybe it was a little of both. I was out a couple of days after the tv show and tried that area. By the way it is one of my favorite areas in the lake. The hybrids were not there that day, so I went sand bass'in. Dead sticking for big fish on a slow day is almost intolerable. Caught a pretty good mess of whites, though.

My boat's been in the shop since a week ago Saturday.

8 days of work lost during that stretch. Not counting the bill to get it out = a big ouchie for this hombre.

Am I the only one who goes to Cabela's, BPS or Academy and blows money on fishing gear when I can't get out??? I almost always fish w my kiddos and just don't want to get them out in this weather...

The weather needs to get a bit better soon or I see more junk in my tackle box!

This is a fishing report for Wednesday. Notice it is not a catching report, just fishing. All the areas that have been producing lately held no fish yesterday. Looked around and caught a few small ones, but nothing to brag about. Started about 11 AM and quit about 2 PM. The wind was up at first and later calmed down. A friend was putting his boat in the water when I was leaving. He called later and said the fish got active later and he caught a few. I was using slabs and also a rig with a bass assassin in the rod holder. It got hit a few times and I could not reach the rod fast enough to hook up.
The water was a cool 52 degrees.
