Didn't see them post on here lately! I wonder if they have any party boat trip this weekend.

Fishboy , thanks for asking smile I have been traveling and fishing smile been to Venice Louisiana , Ft Cobb OK , Lake Foss OK and Texoma thumb I haven't fished since last week because of the weather ... When it's cold and rainy I just ain't that mad at them anymore grin The shallow water bite last week and before in the afternoons was good.. Hybrids and big whites ... The later the better. The morning bite they have been moving very fast in smaller schools and you have to stay in an area longer for them to make there "pass by" . The lake is almost 7 ft low and I have been catching most of my fish in 25-28 ft using 1/2 - 3/4 oz god father slabs with a curly tail grub when I haven't found them shallow. I don't know what this front came through will do.. Like I said , this was last week . This was a pretty big front so it should start to gang them up in bigger schools. I have had better success out from the levees , not right on top, they are shallower ... A couple of times had birds working late in the afternoon, almost evening . When I find the birds working I have been slow rolling a sassy shad on bottom. I have tried to dead stick some big flukes but not successful yet as I haven't found big schools of hybrids yet . So what I am getting at .. Is the fishing has been inconstant smile but with the colder temps it should improve. I have fish a few "deep" areas with some success but the water wasn't cold enough ... But that should change. Fish will be in different areas because of the drop but won't be far away . But as you can see, it was just as low in 2011 and I caught fish in the same areas that I have for over 20 years that I have been fishing Hubbard ... Any more info feel free to call me ... See ya on the water.. And another piece of advice... Sleep in smile no reason that I have found to be out on the water at daylight ...

Fishboy, I am planning to be on Hubbard Fri and Sat and would be happy to do a "Party Boat". My 22 ft Skeeter CC will hold 4 of us quite comfortably. So, please PM me if you or anyone else is interested. I fish both Hubbard and Tawok. Mostly Tawok lately and am excited to start hitting Hubbard more often. I hope to be on Hubbard later-on today to do some scouting. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Last week saw some schooling action so things are picking up. Ought to a good fishing weekend. They lowered the wind levels this weekend so that always helps. Hope you catch a bunch. Been fishing the lake since back with the dinosaurs and this Fall has been really strange. But it's fishing. So we improvise. Happy Catching....
