Lee fisher nets in general. Joy fish or the bait buster. The entry mako is a good net also

Why are you looking for a new net? You know right where your old one is...in water just a little deeper than the cord was long... bolt

Just curious what is the advantage of the bait buster over a super spreader. Im thinking about getting one I bought the ss1000 7footer about two weeks ago and have yet to catch shad when there appears to be a huge school at around 15 feet to 20 feet down .I added extra rope net is fully open as it hits the water . Im not sure if its closing on the way down or not .I was gonna add tape to the net but didn't have time before I went out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bait busters have more weight and sink much faster. Super spreaders work ok in water 5' and less. When you go deeper its time to get out the bait buster. In that 15-20' water the bait may be swimming out from under your net before it gets down on them.

Over the past year I went from ss to joy fish to bait buster and am happy I did.

+ another for joyfish/baitbuster nets, especially during the winter. I do keep/use a cheapo net for creekin it.
