I have all great winter gear except can't seem to keep my feet warm enough. Thinking about military "Mickey Mouse" boots. Cheap on eBay and I know they are waterproof and they SAY they are warm. Any advice for REALLY warm boots without spending a ton?

Insulated rubber boots with really thick wool socks or multiple socks.

I use Sorel Caribou's and a pair of thick wool socks but they are a bit $$, but no more cold feet. The main thing I found is make sure your boot is not tight and wear a pair of silk socks under a good pair of wool socks, and water proof boots are a must.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

And that answers my question 100% even though I've heard you only spend a couple of days a year on the water!!!!!!!!! Thanks Mr. Limpet!!!!!!!!!!

Starting Wed Bass Pro has some zip up thinsulate lined mid-height rubber boots on sale for $29, that are not Mucks but for the price work very well with good socks. I feed livestock in them and was very surprised as to how warm they are and very easy to get on and off. Mucks are #1 but these are a good cheaper alternative.

We tried those but after a couple of rains they got soaked. Really? Well my suit velcros very tight at the bottom, so laces part should be covered...maybe that will work...
I'm gonna miss her....

I absolutely love my MUCKS! Wouldn't do anything else. after spending $25-$50 for others and then having to replace them at least every year I could have paid for several pair of MUCKS over the years. Best $100 I ever spent on keeping warm and super comfortable. Remember guys, Salsa and myself spend a lot of time on the water in not the best conditions.

WELL, Thanks everyone but since I have caught the most fish in my life on Salsa's boat, I now have a pair of Muck's for 51.01 from eBay. Now it will probably warm up and the wind will lay down!

Awesome deal. I thought I got a good deal at $80. Well, you won't regret it. Here is something to chew on...and observation i've made. During the winter, customers come w/ generally good clothing. If not goretex, something similar. They seem to layer ok...etc. However, I get many customers who come and fish on our boats w/ either tennis shoes or leather boots. Consistantly I hear complaints about cold feet. In my opinion, good footwear is essential. If good footwear costs $100-150...spend it. Like Spud said, i've been through way too much money to find the "right" boots. "insulated" boots are not enough. A goretex membrane is essential, if you do not have muck boots. Be careful w/ advertised "waterproof" boots if they are not goretex. I have been through a few pairs that "leak." A good way to test your boots is to submerse them in water for 4-6 hours. If they are bone dry, you have a true waterproof boot. Waterproof / insulated boots are the ticket for winter time blue catfishing.
