Wondering what fish are catchable in the surf that time of year ? We are staying in a river house .We are going to fish under lights at night. During the day we wanted to try the pier at the beach. Any help would be great.

There's trout in the river if you have lights at night, or a boat as well.
In the surf, it can be slow, but there is always a chance of catching a bull red in the surf near the matty jetties or sargent.

Mud and Shell in 3-4 feet with bait present. Weather has to be right though.
It's all in our Big Trout DVD on our site... it covers fishing from Nov till May. Tons of testimonials on it. Don't take my word for it, just do a search or 2 and you'll find them.
