The possum kingdom state park can be off and on at night from the small pier they have, you could probably throw some cut bait from the park towards the north end of the lake and catch some cats. There are also a ton of carp living under the boat dock over there, but you can't fish off of.it, maybe you could cast from the bank over there and not get into trouble? Good luck!!

Anyone know of any state parks with good bank fishing? Where will you be starting from? If you are near Tawakoni and like catfish you will find good fishing at that State Park.

Cedar Hill SP will be stocking trout in their pond soon. The entire park is on Joe Pool Lake...not really known for big fishing, but I've done well there. They have a marina at the SP w a crappie house.
Good luck and report back wherever you go! That's a good thread...state park bank fishing.

Inks, Huntsville, and Cleburn have nice lakes. Caught fish on them all just not too many. Too much pressure and keeping. People looked at me like I was crazy when I released the fish.
