Mine also. Got a 11.15 on Fork a few years ago (1990)on White 3/8 ounce strike king spinner bait. In fact my three biggest bass ( all over 11 lbs came on spinner baits. When I fished Fork a lot in the 80s and 90s, we caught a lot of bass on spinner baits.

I caught my largest bass ever on a 3/4 oz spinnerbait in late Feb of 2008 and after that I stopped throwing one much. I thought it was "too simple" of a technique.

I started back throwing one a lot a couple months ago and I have figured out SIMPLE is good!!!

Not as often as I should. It's hard to put down the Jig and SB. Seems like every time I do throw one, I catch a few. I really need to give it more time.

If you want a spinner bait that will catch the big bass on Fork purchase the following and send it to me to be tweaked.

-Papamark - 1 oz. - 4.5 Silver or copper willow blade backed with a Colorado blade - Twisted line tie - extended hook shank in 6.0.

-Tweaking - Clear coat Diamond Dust Blade - Living Rubber Skirt with Minnow Scent - Hand tied skirt - White Flake Stanley Pro Trailer.

All my Huge Bass over 10# caught at Amistad, Falcon, Ivie and Mexico, have come on baits that are not of this quality as Papamarks' baits are. I would really like to put some of these baits on the water to help you catch bigger bass.

It seems that more spinner baits were thrown on Fork when it had grass in it and not so much without the grass, other than slow rolling one in deep water.

I have not fished Fork in several years; but I have caught many nice Bass on Amistad, Falcon, and Ivie on the 1.5 oz. Spinner baits.

When I fish them deep I am dragging them around the deep contour with the wind, fishing it just like a C-Rig. I like to do the 25 to 35 ft. contours out and around the points; fishing for those Bass seen on the depth finder while driving and looking.

I will have to try that.

A puppy thumper Hildebrandt (Go Getter) can be pretty good. A Strike King Rocket Shad is a little known jewel. The Johnson's Limit Getter will get ya bit. So yes I have thrown a spinnerbait or two on Fork.

One of my biggest bass on fork came on an old Roland Martin big bass spinnerbait. I had fished for two days with no bite and at the end of the second day I caught a 9 pounder. We took pictures and put her back. Then I got a seven pounder explaining to my friend what I was doing. This was our first ever trip to Lake Fork. I never go to Lake Fork without a spinnerbait tied on.
