I wonder if Minn Kota has found a fix for the popping noise the Fortrex makes when turnig at higher speeds.
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

I had that popping sound coming from my fortex and took it to Steve's Prop Shop. They replaced the entire head bracket that has the big spring in it. They said it must have gotten some dirt or something in between the parts that move. I was told that the factory doesn't want us to put oil or anything in there and if I did it might void the warranty. That was less than a month ago and that same popping sound is already coming back.

mk doesn't have a fix for the popping noise coming from the mount. if you oil/grease that area dirt will stick to it and make it worse. and potentially damage the white spacer.
they need to come up with a better spacer for the spring to rest on.

I think I will wait to upgrade until a fix for the mount is amde.
