Check out the bank fishing section and book a trip with Carey Thorn. He is not expensive and guides on the local creeks for crappy. He will teach you all the ropes to winter creek fishing. You don't need a big boat to catch crappie. I have a small Pelican and a bass boat. I use the small boat as much as the big boat. Welcome to the forum.

WRC unlike many other creeks in the area is FULL of water, no navigation problems for the fish at least for the moment. They are starting to move, slowly but surely into the creek and the water as of Thursday was VERY CLEAR.

i have been catching anywhere from 60-100 crappie each trip with 10-25 keepers, I offer instructional and guided trips around the joe pool area
