Idk about five but have friends who have done the entire float to amistad. They caught a ton o fish in the 3-4 lb range though. I would guess looking a pics of the stream there has to be a few 5 lb smallmouth in it though. It is the prettiest river in texas IMO.

Nice smallie, we fished a tourney there and my partner caugh two up the Rio. One of them was a really nice fish.
