What does SAL stand for? This sounds dumb but I think it makes sense. I am a huge fan of the Texas fishing forum, but I live in Alabama. We have a few forums at our disposal, but none like this. I've seen the term used on this site numerous times and know it means a big fish. Just wondering what the acronym stood for.

Its the state fisheries program by which if you will donate a qualified 13+ lb bass to the program for breeding purposes in the state hatchery they will in turn have a mount made for you for free.

No such thing as dumb questions. I come well supplied with dumb answers, however.
Just google sharelunker program and read all about it. Can give you some ideas on interesting places to fish.

Technically it should be SL because the program is called Sharelunker not share a lunker. Never understood that one
