I swear last week I saw an add for a down scan unit that was under $200.
My lady through away all the papers... Anyone know what I am talkin about? What unit was this and where?
It looked sweet and I think it was like $189

If it was black and white it was probably the lowrance x4 dsi

Had a elite 4x dsi, never saw a single tree! Stump, much less fish. Ended up with hds8/lss2 and elite 7 HDI and yes the lake does have trees, stumps, boulders, fish, ... That casnbe seen on these units. As someone else mentioned you do get what you pay for.

The 4x dsi is fine. I used it on my kayak for a while. I ended up moving to an elite 7 hdi because of the screen size on the 4x and the fact that it was very difficult to see on sunny days. The elite 7 is a lot brighter and I can always see it.
