Gonna try me best to throw a jig as much as I can the next couple of days. Just in the mood for the thump that I love so much from a jig bite. Not sure I enjoy fishing a bait as much as I do a flipping jig. Actually very excited to head that way in the morning and hit the lake.

I dont know about the jig bite but the fish were schooling very well when the sun was out last week. had a blast catching big undes and several 4-5 pound slots on an A rig

Got out about 10 a.m. today. Spent a couple of hours in the back half of Penson pitching a Havoc Craw Fatty, spinner bait and swim bait. Then over to the first creek to the right going up Birch. nada. wind really picked up so I called it a day about 1:30 pm. Still not seeing fish stacking up un the roadbeds. Surface temps about 56 degrees. Maybe Sunday will be better. Regards, Bart

We caught 6 or 7 fish in the Basscat tourney last weekend in some deeper water. All of those fish were 14-17 ft deep, and we were north of 515 W ramp. It was about half and half between a 3/4 ounce football jig and a finesse jig. All slot fish except for one under. We were hoping to stumble upon an over.
