It's hard to boat flip anything over 6 on most crankbait rods. I played around with a 7 pounder on falcon one time and tried to boat flip it with a 7'6 medium heavy falcon cara composite cranker and couldn't do it.

Pretty much. If I can see its hooked well, I'll try to boat flip it if I think my line will hold. Biggest one probably around 4lbs.

Last boat fish I flipped came with a nutter shad DD-14 stuck in my leg. I don't play that game anymore.

You know life must be rough when you have the luxury of "playing around" with a 7 pounder....lol

Wish I was closer to Falcon!!! lol

I only boat flip the fish that want to be flipped . If they are already headed my way and I can use there momentum they get flipped .

I really try not to flip anything over six cause they land pretty rough. But I have flipped an 8.42 (it was more the fishes choice than mine) she came at me like a freight train after hitting a bandit and I really had not choice. I was using ten pound flouro.

I don't flip any fish, net or lip them, I just don't agree with letting them flop around on the deck without reason. too hard on the fish and not good fishcare imo.

This. I cant believe only one person has expressed being worried about fish care. It's not good for the fish to lose the slime coat, it leads to a much higher mortality rate and boat carpet will take it off pretty quick
