I'll be traveling Nov 24th thru Nov 27th to Grand Prairie Tx with my father and my son to go visit my brother. I would like to take a day to take them fishing for stripers and white bass. Is there a good fishing guide that you would recommend and what lake? Thanks in advance...

If you want to fish Tawakoni give Lakeguide (Matt Cartwright) a call 214-415-0166. He will put you on em.

You can get closer to Grand Prairie by fishing Lewisville or maybe Benbrook but you probably won't catch the same caliber of fish.

If you want to stay a little closer to home, we could put you on some White Bass and maybe a Hybrid or two on Lake Richland Chambers. It's about an hour and fifteen minutes South of GP down I-45. We have one boat open on Monday and Tuesday, the 25th and 26th.

We don't have the Stripers that Texoma and Tawakoni does. If you do decide on Texoma, JD Lyle is hard to beat and there's 3 or 4 Great Guides on Tawakoni...Matt, Joe and Salsa. All come with good Customer References.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Matt Cartwright has been doing a great job finding and catching fish at Tawakoni, may not be the closest but probably the best fishery in the state.

I vote for Matt Cartwright and Shoestring Farms on Tawakoni. Dress warm. It will be cool wherever you go. Bring a cooler for your Christmas fish fry.
