Ive seen those videos of a shark stealing someone's catch.
But this was unexpected.

This past weekend I was at the local creek.
Casting a LFT Shad, I hooked into a 2# bass and started reeling him in.

As it got close to the bank, it wrapped itself around some weeds.
I tried getting it free, until I saw something big come up from below.

Next thing I know, the bass' head is in this snapping turtles mouth.
I tried yanking the bass out, but the line snapped.

Anytime I fish at night on the docks and use a stringer I have a hard time keeping the turtles away.
