I don't have experience with it. But as a buyer of used boats, I will not buy one that has it. So maybe it affects resale, or maybe it just affects my perception.

I don't really think you can beat a lifetime warranty you get with one. And I know the guys at toledo would fix a boat right that had damage before they put the gorilla hull on. I would check a boat that has one really good but I think they are a good thing.

One thing never changes. Gator/Gorilla hulls are good for at least a couple of threads a month.

I have seen a couple gorillas in person and they look solid as a rock.

when you go to sell it or trade it in under normal conditions it will not bring as much as a boat with a nice slick bottom without gouges an scrapes.

My last boat had a gator hull when I purchased it, I liked it, no worries in timber of scratches or damage(From rebar/T-post that was driven in timber when water was low not thinking it may be just under surface when water comes back up) just ride on over it and keep going, match that with a hydraulic jack and I would go just about anywhere without worries of damage. Never had any scrape marks like on slick bottom boat and never knocked any rubber off it and I put it in some places I wouldn't have with slick bottom . As far as re-sale I sold boat 5 years later for more than I paid for it, maybe I got lucky I don't know but when someone looking at it For sale questioned it just showed them the copy of LIFETIME warranty on hull.. Selling feature that at least one person liked. If I ever do damage my current boats hull I will have one installed on it when repairs are made and I wont have to ever pay to repair it again.. Only down side I seen it was a little slower than other same model boats but not much I can live with that. IMO Every thing isn't for everyone.

Can't speak from experience. But, I hear good things from the owners of them.

I have one and I can not say enough good things about it! My boat rides better in rough water, it corners better. You do not have to worry about putting it on the bank to get in and out. Since I have had my gator hull on my boat I have had ZERO trips to the repair shop for damage to the bottom of my boat! Compare that to at least two trips a year for damage to the bottom of my boat. I have had mine for 4 years now. I would not own a boat without one! It just gives you peace of mind and one less thing to worry about!

well you are all wrong on decreasing the value.

we had one put on our 18 year old Procraft which did slow it down about 5 mph. However we never had to worry about getting up on stumps again.

when we sold it last year the fellow that bought it lives at Toledo Bend and bought it because of the gator hull and at my asking price which was not what my boat mechanic suggested but $1200 more.

on an older boat those type of hulls will make the boat nearly indestructible.

call Mike at Lake Fork Fiberglass and he'll put it on for you.
