I believe there is a cold front coming in, and I am going to rayburn this weekend anyone have an idea what the fish may do? or any tips?

Get your rattle trap and 1 Minus out and hold on. Keep that buzz bait handy. Veach has a lot of grass and will hold some fish just dying to break your arm off.

wont know until the weekend. rayburn changes everyday but when in doubt, chunk a trap. most tournaments are won on traps anyway this time of year....

Isn't the wind going to make it very tough on any boat ride on Rayburn this weekend?

Winds forecast to be SE 13. That in itself is not too bad. But they tend to MISS the actual winds and then it will be rough. General rule of thumb on Rayburn:
(East or West wind not too bad. Any factor of North or South winds are a consideration.)
wind 0-10 ok
wind 10-15 keep an eye on it and expect a rough ride depending on if you fish the main lake and down south.
wind 15-25 plan to fish in protected coves and if you have a 20'+ boat then you can cross the lake to get BACK HOME.
wind 25+ launch in protected cove and stay there! hammer OR Stay Home!

And now "The Rest of the Story". Plan to ADD 10 mph to whatever they forecast after 10:00am, and don't get caught across the lake in a small boat! banana

That's good advice there from Bigron- those estimates seem right on to me. That add 10 mph is so true on a lot of Texas lakes- I do that same thing, especially since I only have an 18 ft boat.

That's the truth right there. I always add 10 to whatever they forecast this time of year. Supposed to rain and be warmer on Saturday. I'm going to be out there seeing what I can get going. The shallow bite probably won't be to strong after this front but that 8-14 should be real good.

I'm gonna sound like a broken record here, but you can go wrong with a trap around grass.

It's where they go before they get put in the cage.
