Sunday, HogOn and I fished Tawakoni hard. We found no fish on timber or rocks. We did manage 18 Crappie off the 2 mile Bridge, but man it was tough. If there was a Crappie on a pillar, it would hit a Jig in a matter of seconds. We found that speed fishing the South pillar worked the best for us. We caught lots of small Catfish, some good Hybrids, and Sand Bass too. Included in the 18 Crappie were 7 Big Fish. Three of them topped 2 pounds and the rest were darn close to the two pound mark. Anything Blue seemed to work best. Here is a picture of the 7 Big Fish of the Day.

The ramp on the West side of the Bridge is totally unusable. Holiday is not useable. The Anchor Inn ramp is terrible, and just barely usable. We need water and lots of it.

Nice fish. Better than me. I'ld fish hard all day for 18 good ones like that. I fished LA last yesterday and didn't get a bite. I spent most of my time exploring the lake (only second time there), and my trolling motor batteries were bad, so fishing was a little bit hard, but still had a good day, I can't complain.

Nice job dutch...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Dutch, I'd consider that a great day especially when compared to my last few trips out. If I had that many 2#'ers, I'd be thrilled!
Good job guys!!!!!
