With so many people moving from the lakes to the bays in search of a better life and improved fishing, there's some things you need to know. 1. Don't anchor your boat in the middle of a cut. EVER. That cool little drain you think is perfect for fishing is probably the only way into or out of a back lake. Park your stuff on the side and don't cuss or be surprised when someone runs through the middle of it, they don't have a choice. 2. When you see someone on a drift, go UPWIND of them. That might sound like a "duh" but it's way too frequent. 3. If you're low life enough to potlick someone, at least have the decency to stay a cast length away from them. Or cut them off a drift, stab your boat down and dive out on a wade. please. We're all Texans, not New Freaking Yorkers, act like it!! [img:left] [/img]

.....Thanks for sharing Pat! Those stickers I sold to the site you took the image from. See the "tm" on there? It's mine.
That being said, you hit it on the nose! How many times have you been catching some decent fish out of your favorite "honey hole", or working a bad azzed drift only to have some Jackwagon come blasting up to your boat....with the stereo cranked up...right up against you within 15ft....and..
"Hey, You doing any good?"
...as far as the stickers go I have several variations I can hook you guys up with. Fixed the legaleze tm issue as well.
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

....as well I might as well give some "Tips" on this subject.
A: IF you see a boat anchored in a spot, and they have bent rods and full landing nets....DON'T POTLICK! Stay a good distance away and watch. B: IF you see a boat on a good drift working a bunch of either Seagulls or Pelicans....DON'T POTLICK! Start your drift behind them. C: IF you see a boat sitting on a flat in front of where you are wanting to go past give them some room. IF it's a narrow passage BLOW PAST them! Nothing worse than some Jackwagon that slows up and throws a big wake, besides, if you blast past I'll be pitching into your bubbles and catching Specks! D: If in the marshes you can find in West Galveston Bay as well as the far reaches of East and Trinity and you see a white boat with a Pirate flag hoisted....DON'T POTLICK! You can come within hailing distance and I'll invite ya in if I am on the fish!!
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

This is the main reason I try to stay off the water on the weekends.

My pet peeve, if you see me anchored at the jetty, don't motor between me and the rocks. There is plenty of room to drive around.

No complaint on kayaks, just when they park their rigs in the middle of the only boat cut into a back lake and then act like you've run over their dog. I have seen them nose to tail completely block off a 30' pass into contee, there's not any way to turn around, or dodge them.
Just begging for some common sense and courtesy from everyone, there is plenty of water for all, life gets way easier when we learn that.

I have seen it and dealt with it from all sides. It's normally the guy who just got a boat who does this. I fish from the bank a lot it kills me when a guy pulls up in his boat and sits right in front where I'm casting and catching fish and starts fishing. Guy actually caste right across my line twice. A well aimed arrant throw with a 4oz surf weight fixed that problem.
