i have recently founded a bass fishing team in northeast Texas and i could use all the help i can get! any ideas on sponsors? cheap boats? any tips in general???

Most teams I know about have boat captains that volunteer their boats and operate them for the boys. Our school members are getting local businesses as sponsors. Here's a start for some info.

Start small and local

Start by asking companies with a history of sponsoring the school or school's sporting events. Look in the back of previous year books--you might find a company that consistently purchases advertising in the year book. Ask the football/baseball/basketball coaches for advice. They might be able to tell you which companies have been supportive. I would ask the school football team physician for a donation or any assistance.

Our club will be selling an '89 Skeeter Strada 125 after clean up that was donated to our club. If interested PM me. We will take pictures after clean up and post in boat section.

my friend and I make our own football head and brush jigs that we are starting to sell to the public now. nothing fancy, just a good jig that catches fish. we will sell skirts as well. We would not mind supporting local high school and collegiate teams in the area. shoot me a pm if interested
