Made the trip out November 1st to try and find some more big trout. I woke up late and didn't hit the water until 9AM. Was greeted with a decent east wind and the water was DIRTY. I had maybe 6" of visibility. The trout bite was TOUGH! Tried everything from my rip-n-slash to a dark colored chicken boy under a cork. Nothing was working.
Well adaptation is the key to survival. Around 11 I decided the problem was lack of trout and the water so I tied on a loud shallow crank and started trolling. This put a nice loud noise easy to find and the shallow crank gave the fish a shadow to see while looking up from the grass.
Slowly I was putting together a box of trout. No dinks but barely keepers.

I managed 5 trout from 15-18 inches from 11-1130. The bite dies for a while and then I pick up this solid redfish. It threw its head like a trout and for a while I thought, "alright here we go big trout #3!" I have to admit I was slightly dissapointed hehe.

Ended my day on that note. The bite was tough and water was nasty. I hope this front did some good!
Now for the past month I've been fishing the Treasure coast Troutmania tournament. 3 Biggest trout win, plain and simple. I placed 1st out of 33 Anglers.
These are the winning trout...in order...20"...29"...29.5"...

29"

29.5"

October was a great month for me. Hoping it carries over into November and December and every month after.

Till Next Time
