Anyone fished it recently? Planning on fishing somewhere in Buck Creek tomorrow morning until noon.

Thanks.

Look at the RxR bridge real close and the bridge.
If you in a boat that is. I can't say I have been out to this yet this year but when I go at this time of the year I can find them at the bridges and the timber.

Fished the corp piles yesterday and they were almost empty. The bite at ray bob has been pretty good the last couple of weeks but yesterday was rough. Haven't tried the bridge this year. Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Didn't catch a single fish off trees. Tried trees in 8' to 25'.

We caught 40 or so short fish on minnows from one pylon. One only jig fish. Managed 7 keepers with one being 14.5".

Pretty good day really.

Sounds like you did well. I had similar luck on Saturday. 9 keepers and 40 or so throwbacks. If you found the right pile (out of the wind) they were loaded and hungry. Caught fish anywhere from 5 to 25 foot. Half on jigs (orange and chartruse) and half on minnows. Any smaller piles close to the bank, you were worried about stray pellets from all the duck hunters. Post cold front, north wind, bluebird skies, and high barometer made it a bit tough, especially on Raybob where the wind almost alway seems 10mph more than the forecast. Didn't try bridges or trees....maybe I should have.
