The north wind has really pushed it around today. The good news is water is going over the dam now flushing the Louisiana side. Bad news is we need another rain like this past week to get this stuff from Texas side to the dam. These pics were taken earlier and ae to me. This is Buzzard Bay This is looking toward main lake

Yeah can fish still live in that environment? Im sure theres something that can kill that stuff without harming the water and fish.

I've always been told that the salvania sucks a ton of oxygen out of the water. I've never had much luck around it.

I've always been told that the salvania sucks a ton of oxygen out of the water. I've never had much luck around it. Probably like most aquatic plants . They add oxygen to the water while the sun's up then take it out at night . A carpet that thick would produce a dead zone .

Yeah can fish still live in that environment? Im sure theres something that can kill that stuff without harming the water and fish. Gotta be careful . There's probably something from South America that feeds on it but what damage would it cause to our ecosystem ? Europeans introduced Starlings and House Sparrows to the detriment of several native American bird species .
