I have caught hundreds of pounds of blues the last three years on chicken breast. I spray Dead Red, which may contain anise, on the chicken right before I put it in the water, and will freshen it with Dead Red occasionally. I caught a 16.5, 25, 30, and a 33 on Lake Ray Hubbard this month (Oct.) with chicken.

You guys have any suggestions on where to fish from bank at Hubbard? Just moved to Forney and live over by the dam. Not familiar with the lake at all and trying to figure it out. I keep hearing good stories but have yet to find the fish.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

I have soaked a few with anise and vanilla, a few times! Get some shad and you will do better!
