So with this rain the last two days in the Texas Gulf area, what if anything will it do to the flounder run?

Make em move faster! Rain will cool the water off faster!

....won't have much effect. Once that fresh water hits the bay it's up on top and the salty stuff stays low. Biggest effect is that the fresh water will finally force some of the shrimp out of the marsh!

...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

thanks guys. Was wondering about the salinity levels....makes sense. Gonna try at Bolivar in the AM. I am hoping the north wind does not have any ill effects.

Yep - some good answers. thumb

More rain coming to Texas via the TD that's drifting over Mexico right now.

This is helping drop the salinity levels in our back bay marches which will help produce conditions to produce more shrimp and also give a reason for the flounder to make a move.

Lookin' at low *50's to mid 70's and a clear sky here this weekend behind the rain and cold front headed our way midweek.

we did go to Bolivar on Sat AM last weekend and instead of 5-9 mph from the North, it was 25 to 30 at 6AM. Got off the ferry, went and looked at the water, and got back on the same ferry and went home. Looking forward to some better weather. Oh well.
