Happy Friday all,

I'm headed to Galveston this weekend and am going to try and work the bay complex a little bit. What is the general consensus on sportsman's road for a rookie wader. Is There alot of "over your head" cuts there that could pose a threat for rookies. I have ray guards and am pretty good at doing the stingray shuffle. Has anyone had any luck there in recent weeks? Thanks in advance for your help.

Mike

You can wade...There is a deep gut off the bulk head but if you stay to the shoreline to the left you'll be fine. Some soft spots here or there... only way to learn is just go.

The cuts in between the marshes are a good place for flounder.

Good luck.

Be careful also, there have been those who have been ticketed or towed by parking in that area. The residents who live along there have had problems with some who have blocked them in or out.
