Toledo is up 8 inches from the rain and I would suspect Rayburn got the same or more. Local news showed a car in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot in Jasper with water up to the windows. Real TFloater near Rayburn with more to come today. 10-14 inches is predicted.

Maybe catch a couple feet, its over 7ft low. I like it low. If it comes up a lot before platinum, really tough fishing....

Im hearing that corps is bringing down the level for dam repairs/inspections. Where are you hearing that from???? We hear that every year and so far it hasn't happened and nobody will claim the responsibility for the statement, especially the Corp. Every year. . .same rumor. Yeah, I know. I heard it from one of the guys in my fishing club. But like you said, we hear it every year.

It's up from 157.20 to 157.85 sooo approx. 7". It did this last year but started to drop again after the storm passed through. They like to keep it low for the spring rains.

I guess they are referring to 1991 or so when we were fishing picnic tables one spring.

I went and fished some picnic tables out at GV whenever the flood was, 08 I think? I didn't know if I'd ever get a chance to actually do it again so I figured I'd give it a try. No bass but I actually caught a little channel cat on a power worm.

I think it rained another 3.5 inches at the south end, probably the same up North. I hope all the lakes in Texas get rain. Big rains cam make a mess of good fishing but I'd rather fish a full lake than a real low one anytime, but fun to fish a full with fish on beds in the spring.
Thanks, Billy

We got over 6 inches here on the south end and the lake has come up 10 inches so far. Should continue to rise through tomorrow. It will help the fishing in the long run but won't help my fishing this weekend!!

They have never drawn the lake down intentionally for repairs, inspections, in anticipation of spring rains or anything else. If it has been low it is strictly due to lack of rain and power generation obligations. Never has the Corps brought the lake level down for any other purpose. I used to think the same thing and received a good education a few days ago from the man that would certainly know.

I don't like fishing in chocolate milk much myself either, but don't like stump milk either
Thanks, Billy

rayburn rarely is considered muddy unless you are way up the rivers and the back of the major drains. Ive been fishing it since the early 90's and 99% of the time its decent even after a flood.
