I'll be in Port Isabel by November 1, so just was wondering what's going on at the Jetty. Anyone have a report on what is being caught?
Any report on what's being caught on the surf on South Padre Is.?

Surf will be dropping later this week. Bull reds are being caught. Tarpon are around the end of the jetty. Fishing should be great this weekend.

This weekend should be great! I'll be fueling up the boat and getting the coolers iced down today.

Wanted to try the surf today but we'll have to have our 'sticker' checked out to see if it is still good. We had a windshield replaced while in New Hampshire this summer and the fellow removed the 'sticker' and said here you go! Well, the computer is down at the Parks and Recreation place that sells and updates the sticker so we'll just have to wait until Monday or...?? to get things working right.
Anyway, did some fun fishing in town at the shrimping docks. fish

Didn't miss much at the jetty we took the boat out there and the water is very muddy.

hi there fishlady, passed by you a couple of times at the jetty. i remember you as the whiting lady, hehehe. btw, how do i get to the shrimp docks? that would be a better alternative when the winds are howling at the jetty.

My campground borders the shrimp docks so.... fish I'm sure you could ask permission to fish anywhere along the canals that run through the town of Port Isabel and someone will let you fish on their property. I've been using fishbites, the shrimp flavored ones to catch the catfish. Got me a bucket so now I will start keeping and filleting the fish I catch.
