I launched at G-vine and after gathering some shad I headed NW to to Denton Creek. Not only was it not running...it was not accessible by boat. I was in 2' of water and still had a quarter mile to go to the party beach area. All I could see was sandy bank all the way across.

I was flabbergasted by what I saw at Trophy Club Park at few weeks back. It really drove home how the drought is effecting our local streams and lakes.
Three boys in kayaks passed me heading towards the lake and returned a while later saying they couldn't make it to the lake.
The only upside is that if the lake rebounds and the creek gets back to normal, it will be great habitat with all the growth that has occurred where the water once ran.
P.S.
The stretch of water between Eagle Mountain and Lake Worth is in the same shape.

Thanks for the info.

Fish eat things. I'll put things in the water that fish like to eat. I'll attach these things to a hook, line, rod, and reel. How hard can this be?

Y'all are getting a small taste of what all of us in central and west tx have been living with for years. I'm not sure I'd know how to fish a lake if its not 15+ foot low.

Droughts suck

Although the rain has added some water to Denton Creek it still isn't connected to the lake. Still some crappie in there though, I had one hit a jig at the ramp yesterday. More rain please.
