Heading down to madagorda this weekend .If weather permits Im bringing my boat. I want to target flounder and trout .I need some tips on where to find them . I have a kenner tunnel and can get kinda shallow but don't want to get stuck.

bridge pilings will be more of a flounder and sheeps head tactic. Trout will be on the reefs.

Flounder pounders (flounderpounder.net) will be great for deep flounder near piles.

In the bay any rat tail soft plastic will work.. . work the birds feeding over pods of shrimp... the fish will be underneath. Tidal surge lures are good and tough. Red and white tail, pumpkin, plum, or black with chartreuse tail. 1/8th oz jig head. Other than that a She Dog in white and chartreuse should do the trick.

I would love to get into some Flounder.

ill be there thisthanksgiving, my favoirt spot to fish is the boat locks or google maps calls them the colorado locks, i kayak over to the other side where theres less pressure from bank fisherman and i use gulp chart, or penny white, ive caught 2 bull reds catching flounder there as well as a big black drum and several sheephead
